We’re a group of men, women and children dedicated to promoting faith thru a strong music ministry. Participants come from all ages, talents and walks of life.
Music Ministries
The Chancel Choir at Somerville Methodist Church is an integral part of the worship experience as it is the primary choir in our Traditional Worship Services. The repertoire of the Chancel Choir is stylistically diverse and includes baroques, classical, traditional, gospel, contemporary, and modern music. The Chancel Choir is comprised of experienced volunteer choristers, consisting of older youth and adult singers of all ages.
Singers with a heart for serving God’s church through music are always welcome to sing with the Chancel Choir.
The Chancel Choir Director is Mary Aline Flaniken.
Joyful Noise
The youth and children of our church make up the Joyful Noise Choir. They sing for special occasions in church and visit our local Rehab and Nursing Home facilities sharing their gifts.
Amy Campbell provides the leadership for this group.
